The winning course argued for by our Congress after they ALL know what they need to know to make their informed vote.

This baloney where only certain members know certain things and others know nothing is manipulation.

If the UK can argue this out certainly we can.

I am less certain that military intervention will be of a great benefit.  Hope I'm wrong if that is what happens anyhow.

And I need votes and statements of our leaders on the record.

    •  You trust Congress to make an informed vote? (1+ / 0-)

      Iraq, anyone?
And that was a real Congress, unlike the farce that passes for today's Congress.

I still want to go to the Congress before any action is taken, but I won't mistake any vote they take as "informed" or as even in "good faith".  But it should be done, nonetheless.

It's not up to you or me or anyone else to give a damn about whether or not those people are competent. They are the Congress we have and it is their job to make a vote on something like this.

It's not up to you or me to "trust that they can do their job". Let me repeat: THAT IS THEIR JOB.

This all started with "what the Republicans did to language".
