is engineless (is that Amelia Earhart's Electra just behind it?), but the one to the east has both engines and propellers, hmmm...
although the leading edges of it's wings and horizontal stabilizers seem to have missing bits of skin or something (darker patches), maybe the deicing boots were stripped?

...the buildings on site. One of the reasons that airframes are stored HERE is that the earth (locally) is NOT acid but alkali, therefore when rain DOES fall, metal airframes are not affected by splashes....and the humid air is non-corrosive.

hinting that perhaps it (the Constellation) might be salvageable, hate to see one of my favorite aircraft wasting away.

As far as "humid air" around Marana, AZ, that's probably a mighty rare condition, heh. I live close to sealevel on the Gulf Coast and we don't need to breath the air, we can just slice bites off.
A few miles inland though it's closer to AZ WX conditions, I've seen hellacious afternoon downpours and an hour later, a duststorm complete with dustdevils; all that rain just went p'aya.
