    been the used car market. A 3-5 year old car sells for 1/5 to 1/3 the price of a new car.

      I live in a rural area without much competition between dealers. This allows them to jack up the price of new cars, then they pick up lease and rental return cars at auction and sell them for what a new car should sell for. I can get supplier pricing on the big three cars and buy a new car for what they're selling the same model with 10k to 50k miles for.
