    40 years, while we were denied them. They've had diesel Transits. We get absolute crap here. We're given the least efficient most expensive crap while the rest of the world rewards innovation and thrift.

      With vehicles getting bigger and bigger until things simply get ridiculous.  A six-footer should be able to look (and reach) into the bed of a pickup truck without a stepladder.  

      This cycle has happened three times in my lifetime, in the early-60s (recession, VW Beetle/Chevy II), mid 70s (oil embargo), and today (CAFE increases, high prices).

      Even the CNG stuff... lied to big time on that... where's the market for these vehicles? From parts to fuel...

      If you really peer into the opened can us consumers really do have not that many legal & highly regulated choices...
