  •  Yes. Basically, the world doesn't give a shit (3+ / 0-)

about anyone using chemical weapons.  The administration is living in a fantasy world if they think anyone really cares about this.

    •  sorta but (way) most countries have ratified (1+ / 0-)

    •  I think that a lot of the world sees the folly of (0+ / 0-)

using weapons that kill people to prevent weapons that kill people. Something just does not make sense with this.   A lot of the world does not get how Obama's strike could achieve his aim, without opening up all kinds of unexpected consequences.

The world cares too much to go along with simplistic same old/same old approaches that just cause more problems.

A lot of the world does not see an illuminating and stellar track record for the use of military force in complicated situations.

People are hungry.  They need fresh water.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." - Dwight D. Eisenhower

The word wants peace. Old fashion "war is a solution"  memes do not resonate with so many hearts.   House members are getting flooded with requests for a no vote because those callers care.
