    ..give the President cover if something goes wrong.

    The President can do as he wishes with respect to war, as the War Powers Act is unconstitutional.

    That's why the Legislative Branch will never sue the Executive Branch under that Act.  It knows that SCOTUS would rule in the President's favor.

    All that said, I, like most of you, oppose the War of Choice in Syria.

      Unconstutional?  
      It wasvvoted on by Congress in 1973 as a way to rein in the president.
      Just as thecFounders wanted.
      They did not want 1 guy to decide war.

      Passing a law that the Constitution doesn't allow does not negate the Constitution, it negates the law that was passed. Secret courts can't make up secret laws. SORRY FOR THE TYPOS :)
