    Would there be the same zeal to bomb Saudi Arabia if we learned that they were the guilty party?

          I absolutely don't defend the heavy-handed approach the Bahraini royal government took to its own uprising (which I followed very closely), and the failure of the U.S. to do anything meaningful about it was reprehensible. But neither the protests in Saudi Arabia nor the uprising in Bahrain saw anything like the all-out war in Syria, nor massive death tolls. Ninety-three people have been confirmed dead from the clashes in Bahrain -- a tiny fraction of the number of dead in Syria.
