  •  Electioneering doesn't cross my mind when I (9+ / 0-)

think about these issues.  All I'm thinking about is, "is this moral?  Is this Constitutional?  Is it lawful, and the right thing to do?"

I argue that when we focus on morality, democratic principles, justice, and the rule of law, everything else (including politics and electioneering) falls into the right place.

I have no interest in trashing Kerry or anybody else.  All I want to know is if were being lied to, manipulated, if there are other agendas in play, things that are undemocratic and could actually put us (the citizens) in more danger?

and unfortunately we need to keep all the moving parts in mind in order to maintain and regulate governance, just as moral outrage about domestic injustice always reminds us how democratic we are/aren't and how the rest of the world sees how we are/aren't democratic. For example, we launched 1200 cruise missiles in the first day of the air campaign in 2011 Libya. we presently only have a maximum of approximately 200 deployed on the destroyers recently sent
