  •  Quite a storm, that one! (6+ / 0-)

It seemed a huge slow creature demanding our attention as it arrived, and again as it left.

We woke to bright flashes and big rolling thunder yesterday morning, and tried to go to sleep last night to brighter flashes and bigger crashing thunder, but Bill-the-Dog got so upset by the noise that he squoze up between us on the bed, panting and trembling. 'twas a very long night.

You're right about the lack of wind. Very odd. But that rain! And I forgot to roll up the car windows.

The Forest was so beautiful today - all of the fern spore dust washed down into the moss. The moss, again bright green, accepting it.

Golden-crowned Kinglets have been talking in the treetops since the storm approached. I needed to stop for a moment when I first heard them, had to remember their name. They are the first of the Forest's winter birds.

    Seattle.
