    red sweet peppers......they are really very tasty but you must be patient with the development of flavors in sweet peppers and be sure not to harvest too soon....but also not fail to harvest before predatory insects invade your peppers.

    I've stopped growing green peppers because they seem to complicate the pepper harvesting decision since so many peppers are green before they ripen to other colors.

    •  Mrs. 6 warned me off picking the "red" peppers (3+ / 0-)

      which are currently green.  The real green peppers are planted separately and I've picked a few already.

      Peppers can get spendy in the store and we eat lots of them, so I'm anxious for a good harvest.
