  •  that's just not true (0+ / 0-)

i am not a partial-bacteria partial-human organism.  The fact that human DNA includes bacterial and viral DNA does not mean that we are "hybrid" organisms.  Unless you want to mean that every organism on earth is a hybrid, at which point trying to differentiate hybridization becomes pointless.  That's just argumentative, and does nothing to further the discussion about the benefits and drawbacks of GMO technologies.

Unless you want to mean that every organism on earth is a hybrid,
every organism on this planet exists amid a cloud of genes that can fairly easily (and naturally!) transfer back and forth, even across kingdom barriers.

Thus, the idea the so-called GMO crops are unnatural is patently absurd and just down-right an un-scientific notion.

But even if they were, so what?   The computer that you're reading this post on is also unnatural, does that mean a bunch of nitwits should start smashing it with hammers?  British Intelligence agents, excepted of course.

    •  Oh, but you are. (0+ / 0-)

Your "bible" -- whatever it may be -- may not say that, but the science says otherwise.

LG: You know what? You got spunk. MR: Well, Yes... LG: I hate spunk!
