of worms by bombing Syria is a good idea should look to the past.

The UK was suppose to have a cake walk during the Falkland war. Ask the widows of HMS Sheffield about that.

Want to put a real big piece on the board of Risk, try to keep a Carrier in the Persian Gulf. The straight of Hormuz shipping lane is only 2 mile wide off the point of Iran, and Iran is said to have Chinese anti ship missiles called silkworms. They are said  be able to more damage the the exrcept missiles in the Falkland war.

If we Lose a destroyer thing will get very bad, If we lose a Carrier ?????

Iran makes them as well as the Chinese, and has sold Syria tons of 'em.  Some believe they would launch a bunch of them in a first wave attack to deplete our anti-missile systems.

The scary ones are the "Sunburns", called Moskit by the Russians.

Mach 3.  More than three times faster than the silkworm.

Hezbollah very nearly sank and Israeli ship in 2006, essentially blowing its stern off.  That was with a Saccade, a very versatile shore to ship missile with about a 75 mile range.

Syria is not a joke.  Our politicians seem to think we're attacking Iraq after a 12 year siege.
