    The Senate and House leadership will, with senior committee chairs, hone a resolution narrow and limited enough for a solid majority of both houses to vote "aye" in support of the President.

    Strange that Obama getting out ahead of all of 'em and, uh, actually leading on intervention will ultimately win the day.  Four and a half years of hanging back because the higher he makes his profile in pushing something, the more intransigent the opposition among the Obama haters notwithstanding, I don't think Congress -- even Republicans -- will want the nation to look weak because of their vote, and that's how they're framing it to themselves, I'm afraid.

    That, and Obama jumping out of the gate for a military attack in such a high profile manner actually puts it all on him;  he's provided an shield of responsibility, politically, for his Congressional enablers.
