    re spousal benefits are going to be a massive fur ball for at least a few years, until the states holding out against gay marriage are sufficiently pulverized by lawsuits. Coincidentally (well, actually not) most of them are the shit poorest parts of the country with the fewest resources to spend in court expenses and payouts.

        either Kennedy or Scalia ages out, that's the end of it.

        So Get OUT The Vote. The Milk strategy still applies. The more LGBTs and the more LGBT supporters are publicly out, the faster the bigots lose their children's allegiance. Even Liking this story on Facebook counts. I know that because my oldest out gay friend, met in 1966, out since 2000, comments whenever I do it.
