I just looked through my "address book" ...

and even though I don't call people often,

there's well over 40 contacts in it.

I hope that are ALL behaving ...

Do you realize that "personal contacts" here simply means people who you communicate with? Pretty sure this also means people whose numbers you have in your phone, people whose email addresses you keep, your FaceBook friends...

personally in a number of problem regions. I get business related solicitations in my email from one hot button area probably 2-3 times a week. Unfortunately for me, my craft has a number of terms that have been appropriated by the mayhem industry for weaponry that crop up in these exchanges and could trigger cataloging.

you seem to have misunderstood what "personal contacts" means. In this case, since you do business and communicate with people in "problem areas" it means it makes everyone you communicate with in the U.S. vulnerable to NSA snooping. You understand that? If someone deemed a target, for good or bad reasons, communicates with someone who communicated with someone who communicated with you - by NSA "three-hop" rule they can look into you, and into everyone in your phone, your email, your FaceBook, if you have these.

          •  I think Gooserock was saying.... (0+ / 0-)

...something along these lines "What? Holy crap, I'm in the International buying and selling business, I've been handing out my business card, and thus my phone number, to every Tom, Dick, and Harry. Anyone of them could have phone numbers of people who have phone numbers of people who the US thinks are somehow related to terrorism. Whattafug do I do?"

And Little responded by saying, "Whattafug? You do know the proper spelling is 'what the fu*k', right?"

a couple of weeks ago.  I guess everybody I've ever known is now a two-hopper.  Thanks a lot, NSA bozos.

Also, I did put a P.S. at the bottom of my email to Putin in which I said, "Hello to the people at the NSA reading this."
