that the NSA is not the enemy of the American public at this point, it looks pretty clear to me that the practical effect is that it is the enemy of the American IT industry. It will be interesting several quarters hence what the P&L analysis will show for American-based cloud services companies and the like. I do not think it is going to be a pretty graph.

More likely for every contractor job the NSA creates for the MIC, it will cost at least an equivalent job in the private sector for domestic IT companies.

I'm just Double Tapped the hell out.

potential felons and have to be guarded against... Wait we pay their salaries and they do what they want on collecting dossiers.... WHY? Because they might come in handy as any blackmailer or thief knows... KNOWLEDGE is POWER.

I had a landlord once who was a cop. He always interacted like I was under suspicion. Even when I had done nothing wrong...He looked at me as a potential felon... Actually I moved because I figured when we went on vacation he came into our house and searched it for evidence. WHY?because of a chance comment by a neighbor kid about seeing his car there. Also I am pretty well organized and aware of where everything is (Part and parcel of PTSD) ... things had moved.

I did not owe him or anyone insight into who I am and what I do unless he can find evidence through constitutional channels (and even there I am protected to simply frigging disagree with current legal fashions).

Personally I am simply reducing my exposure on the net. So many pooh poohing others concerns about privacy (as if because it doesn't matter to them it should be ok with everyone). Its like imposing your religious beliefs or sexual tastes on everyone as the new norm. I often wonder what their interest is in imposing through ridicule and mockery their personal standards.
