  •  Japan Owns the World? (0+ / 0-)

On what planet does Japan own the world?

On what planet did Japan get rid of its emperor, rather than the US getting rid of him?

As Japan wallows in yet another year of economic stagnation, and heads into its third year of continuing to nuke itself continuously from the ongoing Fukushima meltdown, you're celebrating the Japanese triumphs in enlightened rule and economics?

Is this some kind of Toho movie?

Japan started out as an agrarian society. Who became the leading manufacturer of wold goods. For over 60 years now. How do you think they can build that 58 billion dollar transit system?

You don't see anything like that in other totalarian countries like China. In China they may have money, but their only industry is sweat shops (pretty much).

BTW, The US gov't never got rid of any emperor. They left hirohito in power. Reign December 25, 1926 –January 7, 1989
I would have bombed his house first, and left the people alone.

You are indeed living on another planet.

Yes, the US left Hirohito and the emperor in power, but it was the US that reduced the office to a figurehead. That is totally different from "they got rid of their totalitarian government" that you posted.

Also, China has sweat shops, but it has a lot more industry than only sweat shops.

And you haven't even breathed a word, however misinformed, defending your assertion that "Japan owns the world". So I'm not going to bother digging deeper into the more subtle points in your inane posting about Japan and its "(no offense) smart people".

You're posting 1980s junior high misconceptions at me. Goodbye.

        •  PS So where do you get the right to call (0+ / 0-)

my comment gibberish? Some people act like they know everything. Doesn't mean that they actually do.

btw, I was in junior high in the sixties, not the eighties.

I was born in 1950 and probably know more about history than you do.

Nobody likes an opinionated, smart alek who wants to push their opinion off as the only reality. Just saying.

ie when you see a comment you don't like DocGonzo, ever try just moving down the thread? Or is abusing people verbally how you have you fun? So sorry for you, you must lose a lot of potential friends that way.

Oh yeah, and you'd be lucky to be as smart as the modern day Japanese people are. Jealous much?
