    John Donne was a very passionate man in the sense that he felt things so deeply, and he's another whose profound faith infuses every line of his poems.

    "Death Be Not Proud,"you may recall,  is the title of a famous tribute by a man to his son, who died in boyhood.

    In school we studied "Batter my heart, three person'd God." What a gift, to be able to express deep emotion in words.
