    ACA was beneficent in the macro. Healthcare was gobbling up 18%+ of GDP [still is, with very bad stats as to the percentage of the population the system serves weighed against per capita spending] and this alarmed the bean counters.

    Fixing healthcare was supposed to even out the GDP and allow more money to flow in other directions and the fallout was supposed to be better employment and increased tax revenues. None of it is working out so far.

    And despite all the repeal BS, Congress knows we aren't #1 at all, we are way down the list and a planetary disgrace. But they don't care. They're too concerned with getting elected over stupid things and keeping their donors sated.
