  •  But Larry Summers, clearly the most "pragmaticky" (6+ / 0-)

choice, already having sabotaged the recovery--who better to appoint as head of the Fed? (/snark) Obama is no left winger when it comes to economic issues.

    Unfortunately.

And God said, "Let there be light"; and with a Big Bang, there was light. And God said "Ow! Ow My eyes!" and in a flash God separated light from darkness. "Whew! Now that's better. Now where was I. Oh yea . . ."

    •  Larry is up to his eyeballs in the whole (8+ / 0-)

meltdown and now can continue to kill the economy so the globalists can take over......

This email demonstrates Larry's involvement early on with the banksters:

If we had a real government, the Justice Department would be preparing a RICO case involving Summers and the Banksters with an eye to clawing back all that has been stolen in the last several years, while they rot in jail.

real then this is the smoking gun that should put the whole early Obama financial team in jail with the heads of all the major financial orgs. Better yet, tried before the Hague.

They will never have enough.  They have no compassion for the discomfort they have caused, they sleep soundly with nary a concern for the destruction and misery which supports their largesse.

We can see who is really in control.  Politicians, regardless of party, dance to the same band.

...and the more appropriate term IMHO is "designed". I have no doubt that Obama, Summers, Geithner, Rubin would all honestly say that they've given this their best shot. This is who they are - in this world, for these times, within their belief systems, this is their course. It sucks. Summers sucks. The Clintonian approach was what it was but for today it sucks. Obviously Obama thinks Summers is the best person for the job but if he really is the best person for the job the state of our nation, our belief and talent pool, sucks big time.

        and still does.

But the team he chose--they had their eyes set on preserving the wealth of the One Percent above all else. Geithner in bailing out the banks and defending their right to award billions in bonuses to themselves while wallowing in TARP money, and Summers for watering down and encouraging Obama to "pre-compromise" on the stimulus, shifting way too much of it from public works--which would have worked--to invisible tax cuts, which clearly didn't. (And because they made the tax cuts invisible, the teabaggers could tell the lie that Obama actually raised taxes and get away with it.)

And God said, "Let there be light"; and with a Big Bang, there was light. And God said "Ow! Ow My eyes!" and in a flash God separated light from darkness. "Whew! Now that's better. Now where was I. Oh yea . . ."

        •  Sure, in fact I think they all want to do "good". (0+ / 0-)

I think Obama wants to do good, as does Summers, Geithner, et al. They have their frames of reference as to what is good, what can and will be the price, at what cost, what methods are in or out of bounds, what's on the table, who's call to answer.   They have their parameters for duty and honor, their frames, and they have their time frames for when "good" can be achieved and at what cost. Their results are measures of their character plus their competency.
