We should be getting our information from anyplace other than the WSJ.

Don't we bankroll the CIA for this shit?

I would tell you the only word in the English language that has all the vowels in order but, that would be facetious.

leaders we don't like and replace them with pliable dictatorships who are more sympathetic to our interests, or, at least, more receptive to bribery.

Accurate information? Who needs that? If the government needs "facts" or "evidence" to convince the rubes (i.e. the public) to support what they want to do, the government just invents it out of whole cloth.

The Bush people said that the US creates its own reality. They were roundly criticized for this. But now it seems they were just being frank.

what we're paying the CIA to do? At the moment they seem to be acting as a clandestine wing of the Defense Department. Ginning up false intelligence reports has not been out of their balliwick either.

Most ginning up came from Cheney and the DoD. The CIA was more reluctant.  That was before the purges, and before an example was made of Ms. Plame.  Recall that Cheney had to personally visit the CIA and browbeat the analysts just to get his war propaganda concocted in a timely fashion.

Of course their purges of CIA and DOD have probably made these war lies and false flag ops go more smoothly. Obama can be thankful for that.
