  •  Assad would be an easy drone target, IMO. (0+ / 0-)

Here are my reasons. I could be wrong, certainly.

    1. It takes care of the problem. If Assad is as evil as advertised, kill him. He's not a freely elected leader. It's not like we're assassinating the President of Iran, for example. I'd take the heat if I were Obama.

    2. No weapons to get into the wrong hands. A biggie, no?

    3. No risk of our pilots and soldiers getting dragged through the streets of Syria.

    4. It sends an important signal to the rest of the evil leaders including the replacement of Assad. Place a few drones nearby and watch the change in behavior.

    5. If Obama had ordered this months ago, we'd be done with it. Instead, we're backed into a corner with no way out other than to do nothing. Lose-lose.

It probably doesn't matter. The nation is finished. Our government is evil, divided. Syria is just a symptom of larger problems.

What is so unnerving about the candidacy of Sarah Palin is the degree to which she represents—and her supporters celebrate—the joyful marriage of confidence and ignorance. SAM HARRIS

    •  That doesn't address the question why (0+ / 0-)

do you think it will be easy to target and kill him. He's not just some random guy, he's a well protected leader of the country.

      •  Is Assad in hiding? (0+ / 0-)

We're droning evildoers as fast as we can reload. Why couldn't we locate Assad? Perhaps someone here could tell us more, but I don't think tracking his ass would be difficult.
