  •  You really think (0+ / 0-)

what gets posted here will influence the outcome of this situation?

I'm glad for you that you feel listened to.

    •  question: (0+ / 0-)

      what is your deal?

it's a good piece that I think is important to read.

Walking into someone's (small) piece of writing and making comments like yours are akin to walking up to a complete stranger on the street and insulting their choice of clothing.

Work on your social skills, and have a good night!

      •  I did read the piece (0+ / 0-)

        and appreciated it.

My comment wasn't directed at the diary or meant as an insult to you. I am just amazed when anyone expresses the idea that DKos has influence over things. I don't believe it does. But maybe you're right and I'm wrong.

        •  of course it does. Even your local newspaper has (0+ / 0-)

influence.  It is one of the most influential left-leaning forums out there, so it is certainly in play at the national level.  Sure, it doesn't have 50 million dollars to spend as might a lobbying group--it's not a powerhouse to shape policy in that regard--but it is a pretty powerful mobilization tool and as such owes it to itself to be responsible.
