    and poverty is at its highest level in decades.

    To think, still mired down in the Afghan war, and record levels of poverty here, that too many politicians would be so quick to want to start another war.

    I believe that we in Congress should come together to wage war not in Syria, but here in America, against poverty, joblessness, homelessness, income-inequality, and hunger when we find seven million U.S. households struggling to feed themselves . That is in our true best interest, and a war I would gladly support."
    I am listening to Rangel on MSNBC now.

    If enough time to wait for a vote on Syria, certainly enough time to seek a political solution.
