    As you go back further in the family tree, the name Cross becomes Crosse, then de Crosse, then del Cross. Henry del Crosse was born in 1175. But I certainly have many AS ancestors too, as the Normans assimilated to the native English.

    I love the Old English language. It's so different in exotic ways, Germanlike but not German.
