    a majority of Democrats to rush to support their president. The fact that they are not seems very significant to me.

      the Democratic base appears to be waking up, despite the relentless onslaught of propaganda this past decade from the pro-PTB/MIC media.

      The policies favored by President Obama and by the corporate elite (austerity during recession, no accountability for banksters and war criminals, and now military action against Assad (which even the least aware among us recognize to be a hugely dangerous and likely counter-productive adventure)) are finally being understood and rejected by the citizenry.

      In my view, the only salvation for the party I've supported for more than four decades now is for current and would-be Democratic senators and reps to embrace the awakened sensibilities of the voters by categorically and publicly renouncing the path President Obama has been leading us down.

      This site's stated mission is absurdly contradictory. You don't get better Democrats by electing more Democrats. The latter is achieved by lowering the bar, not by raising it.
