  •  I miss Hillary Clinton (4+ / 0-)

She is an expert at saying things that essentially say nothing, and thus are hard to take out of context and twist and turn into something else.

Kerry was a gaffe prone presidential candidate, and it looks like he's going to be a gaffe prone SOS. Oy.

    •  yep, Kerry only fits the Hollywood type-cast (2+ / 0-)

for his statesmanlike appearance. He is distinguished looking, isn't he? And then he opens his mouth.

keywords at odds with each other: distinguished and statesmanlike

As for Hillary otoh, I do believe she started this quest for an intervention in Syria. It would probably be a done deal, with our boots on the ground fully mired in Syria.

I've seen zero evidence that anyone in this Administration wants that.

As you may recall, Obama has been severely criticized over the last two years for being so "hands off" about Syria. He's still "hands off" except for this limited retaliation for the use of chemical weapons.

re: hillary's opposition to Obama's stand down policy on Syria over the past 2 years.

sorry, should have saved the source - didn't

You have to admit she is more hawkish than Obama. If she had still been in office, no doubt she would have encouraged the prez not to go to congress after Cameron's result.

I can't remember the source for this, but I think the Neocons have had Syria on their wish list along with Iraq and Iran since whenever they started their scheming. I think this was more their idea than Clinton's. Not that she wouldn't have gone along with it.

Where are all the jobs, Boehner?

    •  We'd already be in Iran if it were Hill. (0+ / 0-)

      Hawkish Hillary!

The party of Kennedy is also the party of Eastland. The party of Javits is also the party of Goldwater. Where is our party? Where is the political party that will make it unnecessary to march on Washington?
