No computers at the kid's school
Eh, after the tech sector collapses (because no one in their right mind will consider American designed electronics or software for anything more critical than Spider Solitaire), there won't be anybody to set up the computers anyway.

    •  Kids already know how to do that (0+ / 0-)

They just need the hardware. Many  can Build a PC with their eyes shut. Not only that there is tonnage of PCs with 2000-2007 technology out there , complete for under $100.00.

Most have been refurbished, have come off corporate leases etc. Many Dells, many HPs. Sorry not many Apple Computers.

There are also plenty of cheap Tablets out there too. It wouldn't be difficult for most schools to cobble together a network with the proceeds of a bake sale. They sure as hell aren't going to get the money from the Cities who will build a billion dollar stadium for a professional sports team at the drop of a hint that the team is considering leaving.

It's just not at the Federal level that we have problems seeing that our education system is properly funded. There is at least as much corruption at local and state levels as there are at Federal levels.

Government spending priorities  are systemically warped by Corporations and their demands for free everything.

Then who cries first at the decay of our educational system as Cities gives away Property Tax abatement's like drug sampler packs to any company that asks for it?
