that was awful. I may vote for Weiner as I am not wedded to any candidate.  I also felt duped as a voter and believed Lawrence was sincere when he asked his audience to tweet questions.  I was on a townhall phone call last night and Weiner has supporters who have many concerns.

I thought Lawrence may have redeemed himself from his Snowden wackiness.

LO overstepped his bounds tonight, and became such a naked partisan for his own viewpoint that it overshadowed what his job really is and should be.

This business of democracy is hard enough without people of voice like LO, going all National Enquirer, when that horse left the barn long ago.

And yes, Weiner does have his supporters. But more importantly, at this point, the night before the election and with so much water over the damn, why would or should LO choose to go ballistic over such an easy target, instead of simply conducting a fair interview?

do a straight interview at this point. It would be a joke play along and ask him how he plans to bring it home overnight or what he'd do as Mayor, and it would be just as crass to allow him to take potshots at the top candidates. So the only meaningful questions would have been on what went wrong, and why he got into the race in the first place.

The way I see it, the mistake was having Weiner on at all. O'Donnell would have done a much more important piece of journalism, especially for non-NYC residents, if he had invited De Blasio, Thompson or Quinn.
