American voters were manipulated into voting for the Bush Admin a second time.

I was against the Iraq war all along. My comment history here reflects that. My comment history also reflects my long-held belief that accountability should go to the highest levels.

That said, Assad has said (I never said I believe him) he didn't order the chemical weapons strike. I don't care if he did. He is responsible for those strikes if they were carried out by his military.

They're his weapons, his generals, his military.

Those weapons need to be taken away. Where did I say they didn't? They also need to be destroyed.

But we don't have to go further and order missile strikes. I have consistently been against these strikes not because I think Assad is a good guy but because I said there was information we might not know a lot of facts.

And now we seem to know more than we did: Assad and the Russians seem to want to avoid a full war with the west. We might be able to use this as an opening for multilateral talks to end the civil war too.

I seriously have no idea what ANY of this has to do with Tom Ridge's admissions that the Bush Admin manipulated the American Terror Alert system right before elections.

      But there it is.
