    I anticipate tomato season all year!  BLT's are my downfall.

    Not mom's recipe -  i made yesterday ala Silver Palate Good Times:  sauteed onion and a fennel bulb in butter on low heat until very soft, threw in peeled tomatoes and cooked about 45 min.   Threw it in blender then back in pot.  Added some chicken broth and Pernod.  Filled plastic containers with cooled soup for freezing.  Will add some cream when we heat it for serving
