    people here can possibly add this concern to their comments this evening at the County Courthouse where the Council is talking about giving a green light to proposed slaughter houses on nearby farmlands.
    These slaughter houses do not have to go thru the permit part where their environmental impacts have to be reviewed and/or mitigated, so different groups with different concerns will be there for public comments like those focusing on water issues be it groundwater near the holding pens, or the amount needed to run the plant(s).

    I grew up on the north side of Ft. Worth Tx., aka Cowtown, where the stock yards were located (Swift/ Armour plant) and if people know what these places entail they'll join in stopping them so hopefully in my two minutes I can get some Council members to think twice about this.

    There is nothing good about the meat industry, nowhere from mega-lots to the store.
