Cool topic, Meteor Blades. G'mornin' to you and all New Day folks.

My sense of taste and smell are hyper. I used to think that other folks' were damaged somehow but I've come to understand that my own are just overdeveloped.

One of the many reasons I love our Diva's food pr0n so much is that I can smell it through the Intertoobz. :)

Those two senses are so wonderfully connected. At least it is wonderful for me, most times.

We have cats... it drives Teri to distraction that I can't tolerate the cat box that's in a remote corner of the house when she can't even tell it exists, let alone needs to be changed. It isn't her, its me. I've tested myself often by asking others if they can smell or taste a particular thing and, sometimes, it is difficult to convince them that what I'm sensing is really there.

I've been significantly myopic since birth, at least one medical person has speculated that my other senses have compensated. My hearing is too acute to be good for me, too.

Sight and touch are another matter entirely. Touch would be better, I think, if I had all my fingers and if I didn't have leather on the ends of the ones I do have, from playing stringed instruments.

My focal length is about 5". Anything beyond that is pretty much a blur without corrective lenses.

I look forward to talking about color... we (humans) have tried to quantify that and have had some measure of success but I have some fringe-ish opinions that it may be more subjective than most folks believe.

Tofu knows nothing but what is good for you. -- dharmasyd
