    but I do care about undermining democracy
    precisely because undermining democracy has been a front-and-center concern to our foreign policy for generations: in most cases, we're actively against democracy and thus take pains to undermine it when countries with less than canine devotion to our military and business interests attempt it . . . but I believe your point is rather the opposite?
