    there is a contracting agency in the same building as me. i asked them a few weeks ago how it was.

    they said booming!

    you know those ads about making 80/hr on the internet working from home...

    that's about right for what i do.

      and you are using the absolute worst metric (i.e. the guy near me says...)

        First of all, we are talking about a new development. Secondly, its going to hit overseas primarily.

       But hey, if you really want to believe something then there is nothing I can say that would change you mind anyway.

        there are literally pages upon pages of jobs in my area. i keep up with the market in my area and several others.

        maybe booming isn't the right word but it's certainly getting better every year.

        some of the low level jobs are gone.  some of them came back. my kind of jobs are booming. they can't find enough people.

        out here for linux admins.

        DFW, North Carolina, some parts of Florida

        hell some parts of many states have lots of high tech jobs and not enough people to fill them.

        i know, i am hiring right now.
