I imagine there must be dozens of such who have more knowledge about Putin than a Monster who hasn't been involved with formal policy concerning Russia since before the USSR fell.

trade relations officials, military people, State Department people, bankers, etc who have frequent-to-daily contact with Russia.

Your theory would be such don't exist if I don't know their names? Do I have to be looking at the moon, too, for you or I to know it exists?

Kissenger remains a world-class criminal and monster, however.

Consulting him is a sign of moral imbecility.

I know Realpolitik clowns imagine themselves highly realistic and sophisticated, but history has shown them to be short-sighted and stupid -- the stupidity a side-effect of moral imbecility, which ALWAYS fails to recognize that morality actually affects outcomes in human affairs.

Because there probably aren't many - or any. The Kissinger/Putin relationship appears to be personal and unique. In a whole different league from the military, State or business follk who deal with Russians in general. For whatever reasons (and many would not be suggestive of "good character") they have developed a personal connection. As a result Kissinger has some insight on Putin's thought processes that few, if any, others have.

            IN THE FUCKING GOVERNMENT!

People in the fucking government would know dozens, if not hundreds, if not thousands.

How many NSA etc transcripts do we have of Putin's 'private' conversations and communications? For example.

Geez, is there something in the keyboards these days that robs people of the ability to fucking use their brains?

we (or Kerry) should trust his advice on dealing with Putin?

            Brilliant.
