as neither law enforcement, CPS/DCF, nor family courts give a damn about child abuse.

Children of known drug dealers, gang members, addicted infants born from addicted moms and violent criminals are routinely left where they are, with the perpetrators of such actions are given unlimited access, even custody, to said children.

Shocking, I know, and beyond heartbreaking to those who are caught up in such an atrocity.  I have been threatened with arrest by Sarasota county sheriffs office for reporting the abuse against my granddaughter.  Even though the father and mother have admitted to drugging my granddaughter, post photos of her high on Facebook and refuse to allow family to visit, our family has been treated with hostility and the child stays where she is.

Please, please, sign and share.  This has gone on for two years.

About physical child abuse. The problem is that in cases where someone who cannot talk or who has been brainwashed with the idea that adults can do whatever the hell they wish to them is the victim, it is damned near impossible to get evidence against someone unless the parents catch them in the act.

I also wonder who could vent their ire on an innocent baby..... only someone with a severe mental illness who should be put into a mental hospital, I would wager.

with that comment. I have a good friend who was an LEO for Multnomah County Child Protective Services and I KNOW that he gives a damn.

If there is no accountability for those who authorized torture, we can no longer say that we are a nation of laws, not men.

        •  Sorry if I hit a nerve (0+ / 0-)

I only know how our family has been treated.  Treatment such as this has been collaborated by other families in the same situation.  This is a nationwide problem....nobody swoops in and rescues these kids.

And forgive my fatigue from hearing about "evidence".  Evidence is right in their laps and they don't give a crap.  A drug test tells them what they need to know.

This is a vicious world.  Denial of the truth keeps us where we are.  This happens every day, and I want to see it stop.  There are no valid excuses for allowing abuse and neglect.  None.

Girl, good for you.  In many jurisdictions DSS is way overloaded and too many babies don't get the attention they deserve.  The first child abuse case in the country was brought under an animal cruelty law in Chicago around 1920 - there were NO laws prohibiting it.

It's cut and dried.  Wanna know how many drug addicted infants are detoxed and DCF gives them back to their mothers?  I heard this at a Healthy Start Coalition board meeting from the NICU nurse supervisor at Sarasota Memorial Hospital.

Sorry, we do not care what happens to infants and children, and the reporters are abused and threatened by the vary people who are supposed to rescue the children.  Excuses to fail to act are pathetic and should not be accepted under any circumstances.
