    State Rep Jason Conger, R-Bend, is leaning more and more towards running against Merkley.

    I don't think his chances are great, and since Conger holds the most Democratic district of any Republican in the state house (I think Obama got 56% last year), it gives us a good shot at picking up a state house district east of the Cascades.

      Its like DeFazio. It is his as long as he wants the house of representative seat. Doesn't even need my donations. Last election the son of the guy running tried some dirty tricks to fool people (Robinson) but it didn't matter. Wyden now has a little explaining to do.

      But Merkley is steadily building a strong following like DeFazios.
