I'd never even heard of it before. That's the luxury of living where mosquitoes don't live. And I've been warned about ticks. I just bought a pair of socks to tuck my pants into for the ticks, since I didn't even think about ticks when I was packing.

My friend that I was with had this great organic bug spray from Dr. Mercola made from peppermint, citronella, and lemongrass. And I swear, nothing EVER works for me and that worked. It worked REALLY well. The day after I left the farm and I was in the city without the bug repellent, I got eaten. But on the farm - no bites once I put the repellent on.

    •  Mosquitoes LOVE me, too. (2+ / 0-)

And I've also found an organic spray that works. Brand name escapes me at the moment, but the main ingredients are also lemongrass & citronella.

Just came across the EEE report this morning, and it rattled me a bit, since it's just a county away from me. And right where I used to live. In previous years, all the EEE in VT has been in the southern parts of VT.

Ho'oponopono. To make things right; restore harmony; heal.
