  •  We had thorms last night, but HLOS is impervious (6+ / 0-)

to most of them.  His late brother...the  renowned Georgie...was a true scairdy cat!  He loathed thunder and lightning, but would take on anything else fearlessly.

The 13th never particularly bothered me, as I'm more intrigued by how and why we come by our superstitions.  I do have a few odd things I still do, though.  One of the kids spilt salt at brunch last weekend, and before I even thought of it, I'd picked up the salt and flicked a few grains over my left shoulder.  Weird, huh?

Otherwise, I just like to play with the word triskaidekaphobia.  I call it other things, like:
    trisquitbisquitphobia--fear of 13 crackers
triskadiscadelphia--fear of the 13 records in Philly
trickydickylopia--fear of tripping over Richard Nixon

Stuff like that.  That's how my weird mind works!

Have a good one, everybody!  Just watch out for......

We cannot call ourselves a civilised society if we refuse to protect the weakest among us.
