    San Elizario, Clint, and Socorro are towns with the same population size as Lyons. No mention of the flooding in and around El Paso on the national news. They're down the mountains from Boulder, but these are the southern ends of the Rockies, with less vegetation to soak up rain....

      they'd had a terrible flood. All I saw was desert. Then they pointed out the huge gouged out creek that had had a flash flood five years previous. Nuts. Middle of flat desert. Looks can be deceiving, all that's needed is for a bunch of water to head in one direction.

      Wishing the water sinks into the ground and drought goes away for a long time.
