    UNSC resolutions to protect the interests of his ally. The US does the same thing where the interests of Israel are concerned. I see the two situations as being equivalent.

      even if they are equivalent, which they're not. (hint: Israel doesn't employ Sarin gas had hasn't killed 100,000 people over the last two years).

      All you're trying to do is say the US government is also wrong. Which even if stipulated doesn't justify anything Putin is doing.

      It's a non-starter of an argument.

        There has been a very strong body of world opinion that at times Israel has violated the human rights of the Palestinians. The US determination to block all criticism of that has placed them in a position without the support of just about anybody else. Even our allies in Europe chose to abstain on many of the votes.

          to make this about Israel and not Vladimir Putin and I will no longer assist you on that. If you want to discuss Israel and US policy towards it, find another playmate or start your own diary. Who knows, maybe the diarist would rather talk about Israel than Putin too.
