  •  No employer plan gets subsidies (9+ / 0-)

I completely fail to see why union workers' employer provided health plans need subsidies, while everyone else's employer provided plans continue to be unsubsidized.

    •  But why would union leadership support a plan.. (1+ / 0-)

..that would lead to a significant decrease in health coverage for their members.  This was bound to happen without special treatment.  And President Obama has refused a dispensation.

That's what I don't get.  Did unions have an agreement with the President?

      Or is leadership just incompetent?

Either way, Trumka, at the very least, should resign.

It was like it or lump it; not really a choice.

      •  ACA (0+ / 0-)

I want to stress this to all, Do NOT lump all Union INS Plans into one, Each local has different INS plans that have different requirements, Mine is Hour based and is the biggest rip off and SCAM, How would you feel knowing that you along with many others contribute like my example posted below, Over $6k and have no INS? NOTHING, Again, This decision may hurt some and also help others, it all depends on the Individual Plan.
