  •  libertarianism is totalitarian (0+ / 0-)

There is literally only one correct motive - value maximization: i.e. moneymoneymoney - and for any person, in any situation, the only correct course of action is whatever will realize the greatest profit.  And if everyone becomes a zombie Ferengi unhesitatingly and unquestioningly doing whatever will be most profitable, we'll all end up in utopia.

But most people are brainwashed into behaving in value-destroying ways, and left to their own devices, they'll remain in slavery and hold humanity back.  Conservatives really believe that most people are by nature slaves: without the intelligence or strength of will to set their own course.

Domestic politics is the continuation of civil war by other means.

    •  Disagree with your definition of libertarianism (0+ / 0-)

Try this one on for size.

Americans like Noam Chomsky can claim the label 'libertarian socialist' with the same validity that Milton Friedman can be considered a 'libertarian capitalist'.
