    Ah, there's the question!

    (only half joking, my one knee stinks and I'm not that old.  Occasionally I have a little trouble standing up from odd angles, which includes Mr. Toilet.)

      Yup, no problem there. You can use your upper legs for leverage (push off from them with your hands). I can even get up from a squat that way. Learned it when my mom was in rehab hospital; it's how they taught her to get up.

      We have a really low car, and people wonder how I get in and out of it. Not hard for me, since my problem is more lifting my leg into the higher vehicles people think would be easier for me.
