the same crap in Michigan. But here's the kicker: booting people off of food stamps doesn't save the state a single dime. Why? Because it's a federally financed program. The state will not have one extra dollar to spend because they reduce food stamp roles. There is absolutely NO fiscal reason for a state level official to worry about whether some undeserving slacker is feeding their kids on the government's dime. Never mind that most recipients, other than children, the elderly, and the disabled, actually do work... they must not be working hard enough, or something.

Our elected (R) officials either believe that all these moochers could find work if only they'd get off their lazy asses and go look for it, or they are just mean-spirited pricks. While some certainly believe that if you get rid of assistance the unemployed will magically find jobs, my money is, for the most part, on the latter.

As for Limbaugh, is he high again? I couldn't tell if he was whining that the economy has recovered enough that food stamp rolls should be falling, or if he's saying there's no recovery.
