    in relation to the center. The center has been moving to the right for 40 years. All you had to do was to stand still to wind up on the far left.

      ...there's the status quo's (and the MSM's) definition of "the center," and there's "the center" (as in "median" or "average").

        ...that will reinforce the concept that a lot of people are virtually/complete disaffected (who don't vote, because they feel their vote doesn't make a difference) as far as this country's political process is concerned. So, there's the "center," as far as "the voter's" concerned; and there's "the center," as far as the overall population is concerned.

        that are supported by the elected government. That is fairly easy to track. I certainly would not argue that those are frequently at variance with public opinion, but they are what prevails.

        The corporate MSM has had a lot of success at either molding or covering up public opinion by diverting the public attention away from policy issues.
