    than flyovers during migration. I've always called them speckle bellies. They have a distinctive call which is pretty to easy to separate from the Canada and Snow geese which come through in much larger numbers.

    I've never seen a widgeon, or at least never one that was close enough for me to recognize. But we get a lot of green wing teal come through, also a lot of blue wings. I think you have cinnamon teal out there too. Never saw one of those here either.
