      I don't know who the grave belongs to (sure, I see the name, but I have no idea who that person is). I don't personally know anyone who has been injured or killed or widowed or orphaned or deprived of a sibling by the war. Somehow, that's just not part of my life. I've been lucky to escape the personal connection that has devastated so many.

      But that picture still breaks my heart when I see it. I know senseless loss when I see it. I know abject despair when I see it. I know crippling pain on a fellow human being when I see it. And it's not something I want to see us causing any more of, in any country, to anyone.

      Always follow the money.
