  •  Did the dealership at least (5+ / 0-)

witness the problem when you try to refresh?  If somebody outside your household in the real world actually witnesses the problem, you may find an ally.

(Some years ago, at school, we were experiencing explosions on the roof of our building.  Service people didn't believe it until a service person witnessed it;  administrators didn't believe it until an administrator witnessed it.  It got fixed.)

    •  No (4+ / 0-)

I was half expecting to find it working when I went outside to the car. False hopes I guess. And I didn't have time today to stick around as I had to get to another appointment.

I'm going to rant at XM some more before going back to the dealership...

... contact us page has a "Chat Now" feature which may help.  It also has their phone number which is staffed until 11 PM Eastern Time (US) - 1-866-528-7474

I also saw this page, which has a number of disappointing reviews which sound eerily similar to the issue you describe.  It has a different phone number - 877-967-4672, which appears to be staffed until 11 PM as well.

You may also want to do a google search for your car's make and model, along with the type of sat radio you have and see if there are any reported XM / Sirius issues with that combination.  If there's a problem, someone on the internet is going to let everyone else know.
